Be an Oasis of Calm Amidst the Chaos Around You!

Most people are totally unaware of the impact that smells can have on their mood, ability to learn, stamina, perception of themselves and others, and ultimately, their behavior and motivation.

The term "Aromatherapy" specifically refers to the use of Essential Oils (the purest and most concentrated form of plant extracts) for mental, physical and emotional well being.

Aromatherapy is rapidly gaining credibility as an legitimate alternative healing modality in the U.S. medical community. This is because of its ability to reduce the incidence of stress hormones by rapidly inducing a relaxation response consistent with the brain wave activity generated by deep meditation.

Methods for Using Essential Oils

There are a variety of ways in which essential oils are used to obtain their aromatherapeutic benefits. The two primary ways are direct topical application (normally via massage) and through inhalation using a number of different forms of diffusion.

Because of their potency and the possibility of skin irritation, essential oils should never be applied topically without first being properly diluted

QUICK TIP

Lavender and Tea Tree Essential Oils are the only essential oils that are safe to apply to the skin "neat" (without dilution). Both are excellent oils for minor cuts, scrapes or skin irritation and Lavender is especially useful for healing burns (among it's many other wonderful healing properties)!

Never leave home without these two amazing essential oils as well as Peppermint (analgesic), Lemon (disinfectant), Eucalyptus (for congestion and allergies), and Geranium (balancing and stops bleeding).
